Children’s Church Target
Children’s Church is designed for boys and girls generally in grades 1-4, and is open to 5-6 graders for as long as they are comfortable at that stage of maturity.
Children’s Ministry Worker Prerequisites
1. SALVATION. Believe on Jesus Christ.
2. CHARACTER. Referral from pastor.
3. FAITHFULNESS. Attend and support our local church.
Children’s Ministry Objectives

Children’s Ministry Values
1. A child is entitled to hear the gospel on a level that he or she may comprehend.
2. A child needs to understand the Bible for moral guidance and spiritual protection in life.
3. A child possesses special gifts that must be encouraged and used to encourage others.
4. A child will find meaning and purpose in the comprehensive mission of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Children’s Ministry Discipline
1. Example. Model respect and proper behavior. Respect God, the pastor, the Church, church property.
2. Prevention. Circumvent wrong behavior by observation, planning, and awareness. Stop bad behavior before it happens. Reward good behavior with constructive words or small gifts. If you are creative, you will be able to praise even a difficult child. Be thoughtful, fair and consistent.
3.
Control.
a) Speak with gentleness to the offender.
b) Write down names of offenders and details of the offense.
c) Bring problems to the attention of the supervisor or the pastor.
d) When it becomes necessary, it is preferred to locate the parent or
responsible adult rather than expelling a child.
4. Supervision. Do not leave a child unattended or in isolation.
5. Grace. Do not yell. Be firm, patient and loving. Avoid public humiliation.
6. Caution. Do not touch in an angry or threatening manner. Do not use force or intimidation.
7. Peace. Do not punish a child physically. Ever. This is cause for dismissal and legal action.
