Believe God exists. Hebrews 11:6.

Believe God loves you. John 3:16. Romans 5:8.

Believe that Jesus, God’s only Son, died because of your sins.

Believe that Jesus paid a great price to take the punishment for our disobedience to God, that is, He exchanged His perfect life for your imperfect life. 1 Peter 1:18-19, 2:24.

Repentance.

Sorrow and shame.

Tell God that you are sorry for your disobedience to Him.

Ask Jesus to forgive you.

Be ashamed of your sins and stop sinning.

Regeneration.

Transformation.

 Ask God to make you a new person in Jesus Christ.

 Ask God to make you act like Jesus Christ.

Report.

Confession.

Do not be ashamed of Jesus.

Tell your friends that you have decided to follow Jesus.

Make sure everyone knows that you are a follower of Jesus.

Privileges.

Now that you are a child of God, you have special permission to come to God.

You may boldly come to God in prayer and He will listen.

You may ask God to fill you with His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will help you understand God's Word as you read it.

You may gather with other believers and receive God's blessing.
